Tether, công ty đứng sau USDT stablecoin, đã công bố cam kết về bảo mật và mối quan hệ hợp tác chặt chẽ với cơ quan thực thi pháp luật. Công ty đã công khai các bức thư gửi đến Ủy ban Ngân hàng, Nhà ở và Đô thị của Thượng viện Hoa Kỳ và Ủy ban Dịch vụ Tài chính của Hạ viện Hoa Kỳ.

Các bức thư được gửi tới Thượng nghị sĩ Cynthia Lummis, một người ủng hộ tiền điện tử nổi tiếng tại Thượng viện, cùng các chủ tịch và thành viên cấp cao của các ủy ban nói trên, phác thảo các biện pháp bảo mật mới nhất của Tether.

Giám đốc điều hành được bổ nhiệm gần đây của công ty, Paolo Ardoino, đã nhấn mạnh quyết định của công ty về việc ngừng hoạt động mã thông báo Tether trong tất cả các ví thuộc danh sách trừng phạt của Văn phòng Kiểm soát Tài sản Nước ngoài (OFAC).

Tether tuyên bố đã hỗ trợ Bộ Tư pháp, Cơ quan Mật vụ Hoa Kỳ và Cục Điều tra Liên bang (FBI) trong việc đóng băng 326 ví kiểm soát 435 triệu USDT.
