Việc mở rộng diễn ra vào thời điểm BRICS đang nỗ lực hình thành một loại tiền tệ mới để thách thức đồng đô la Mỹ.
Trong bản cập nhật mới nhất, cựu cố vấn của Tổng thống Nga và nhà kinh tế chuyển sang làm chính trị gia, Sergey Glazyev, đã đưa ra một thông báo quan trọng về việc hình thành đồng tiền BRICS sắp tới.
Tuyên bố của Sergey chỉ ra rằng BRICS nghiêm túc trong việc tung ra một loại tiền tệ mới để cạnh tranh với đồng đô la Mỹ. Theo nhận xét của các nhà kinh tế Nga, đồng tiền BRICS mới có thể được ra mắt trong hội nghị thượng đỉnh lần thứ 16 vào năm 2024.

Sergey đã đưa ra một thông báo lớn bằng cách xác nhận rằng đồng tiền BRICS đã hoạt động. Ông xác nhận rằng đồng tiền BRICS mới gần như đã sẵn sàng ra mắt và cần được tinh chỉnh trước khi phát hành. Ông nói, đồng tiền BRICS “gần như đã sẵn sàng” và cần “sự đồng ý chính trị”.
Nhà kinh tế nói thêm: “Để tung ra loại tiền này, chúng tôi cần có sự đồng ý chính trị của các nước BRICS. Ba trong số đó đã bày tỏ sự ủng hộ đối với ý tưởng giới thiệu một loại tiền tệ mới thông qua các nguyên thủ quốc gia của họ.”
Theo Sergey, ba trong số năm quốc gia BRICS đang ủng hộ đồng tiền này trong khi hai quốc gia khác vẫn chưa đưa ra ý kiến. Nếu hai nước đồng ý thì đồng tiền BRICS có cơ hội được phát hành vào năm 2024.
Sự phát triển này sẽ dẫn đến sự thay đổi mô hình trong lĩnh vực tài chính toàn cầu, đe dọa sự tồn tại của đồng đô la Mỹ.
