Làm sáng tỏ hơn về khung thu nhập vĩ mô và mối tương quan áp dụng, Chainalysis khẳng định:
“Việc áp dụng tiền điện tử mạnh nhất ở các quốc gia được Ngân hàng Thế giới phân loại là có thu nhập trung bình thấp. Điều này rất quan trọng vì các nước LMI chiếm phần lớn dân số thế giới với tỷ lệ 40%“
Trên thực tế, nhận thức về tiền điện tử cũng cho thấy xu hướng tương tự. Như đã phân tích trong một bài báo gần đây, nhận thức về tiền điện tử là cao nhất ở Nigeria, với 99% nam giới và 100% nữ giới cho rằng họ đã nghe nói về loại tài sản này.
Trên thực tế, 78% trong số họ khẳng định rằng họ biết về cách thức hoạt động của tiền điện tử. Điều thú vị là, 57% trong số họ đến từ khu vực này tuyên bố rằng họ “chắc chắn” sẽ đầu tư vào tiền điện tử trong 12 tháng tới, trong khi 33% trong số họ khẳng định rằng họ “có thể” sẽ đầu tư.
